World War 3: Iran 'SLAMS' Donald Trump as 'untrustworthy' as Middle East tensions SOAR

Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said the Republican firebrand’s move was “adopted to break Iran’s resistance”.

He explained: “Today, we are again witnessing that the US untrustworthiness has been proved.

“The US measure has been adopted to break Iran’s resistance and it is not a new thing and we have been for years witnessing the enemies’ evil intentions, therefore, we should rely on ourselves.”

The Major General added the European Union is “unable to make choice independent from the US” as he insisted Tehran will pursue “development only through domestic capabilities”.

He went on: “Europeans, are unable to make choices independent from the US; the JCPOA’s future is clear; Iran will achieve development only through domestic capabilities.

“Once again Americans proved they are unreliable and do not live up to their promises.”

Mr Jafari admitted that before the “Islamic Revolution” Iran depended on the United States, however he said the country now relies on “domestic military equipment” and “missile power”.

He added: “Before the Islamic Revolution, Iran’s military might depended on the United States, however, after the Islamic Revolution, our power shifted to relying on the efficient manpower and domestic military equipment, specially missile power.”

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani earlier blasted Mr Trump for launching a “psychological war against Iran” by leaving the nuclear agreement as World War 3 fears skyrocketed.

He commented: “Trump’s decision was the beginning of a psychological war against Iran, our heroic people will not be affected by this psychological attack.”

Although Donald Trump has removed the US from the JCPOA, other European nations have pledged to uphold the deal in a desperate effort to calm tensions in the Middle East and relieve World War 3 fears.

However, the Republican firebrand could threaten European companies with trade sanctions if they continue to deal with Tehran.

The billionaire made it clear the UK and other nations could be punished for upholding the “decaying and rotten” agreement.

He stated: “Any nation that helps Iran in its quest for nuclear weapons could also be strongly sanctioned by the United States.

“We will be instituting the highest level of economic sanctions.”

The President’s national security advisor, John Bolton, also emphasised that other nations across the globe could be punished for upholding the JCPOA in a recent interview.

He remarked: “It’s possible.

“It depends on the conduct of other governments.”
