The Patriots open the 2018 preseason by welcoming Washington to Gillette Stadium. It’s the first opportunity for fans to see the team play against an opponent, and undoubtedly provides a chance for rookies and young players to shine.

After being held without a touchdown in the first half, the Patriots drove 84 yards on a remarkable 19 plays to cut the score to 17-10. Jeremy Hill scored on a one-yard run:
